Job description

Southeast Texas HR is seeking Laundry Aides & Drivers with a experience as a delivery driver. As our Laundry Aides & Drivers, you will work with an area client in sorting, processing, cleaning, and delivering hospital laundry. You will work with a team of experienced professionals who share your passion for excellence. We offer competitive compensation as well as opportunities for growth and advancement. These can be temp-to-perm positions and pay will be $17.00+ per hour DOE.  This is a days position and weekends will be required.

Responsibilities of Laundry Aide & Driver

  • Operate company box truck to transport linen and other materials to and from customer locations.
  • Ensure the safe loading and unloading of linen and materials onto the box truck.
  • Perform vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues to the manager.
  • Follow approved safety guidelines, separating and removing solid waste and soiled linens for safe disposal before laundering linens.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and inventory.
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers on a daily basis.
  • Complete all tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to follow procedures and safety regulations.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Have a copy of immunization records
  • Start work at 2:00 am and work weekends
