Job description

The Landscape Installation Technician is responsible for the installation of client outdoor spaces and performs related duties to assist Landscape Installation Supervisor. The client’s property should be left in the cleanest, safest condition possible.

Primary Responsibilities:

Hardscape Installations:

-          Interlocking concrete pavers per ICPI standards

-          Segmental concrete walls and edging

-          Stone patios and walls

-          Move soil, mulch, gravel, equipment and hardscape materials manually and with powered equipment or vehicles.

-          Build forms for borders, using lumber, hammer, and nails

-          Mixes and pours concrete for garden borders and slabs

-          Manages material pick-up, delivery and installation

 Landscape Installations:

-          Trees, shrubs, perennials, and annual plants

-          Sod, seed, topsoil, and compost

-          Mulch and ornamental gravel

-          Digs holes and amends soil

-          Installs plant material to industry standards

-          Waters lawns and plants, using sprinklers, hoses or watering cans

-          Spread erosion materials over seeded soil to prevent movement of seed and soil

-          Places decorative stones, and plants flowers in garden areas

The Landscape Installation Technician should perform all duties in a timely and professional manner so the requirements of the job as outlined in the work order are met. The Technician is responsible for proper use and care of issued hand tools and mechanical equipment. Any unforeseen circumstances can be resolved by the Landscape Installation Supervisor.

Landscape Installation Technicians will comply with company policies and procedures to include employee handbook, safe operation of tools and equipment, and all other landscaping requirements. Cooperation, production and customer satisfaction are expected. Technicians should set the example for their coworkers and will be both held accountable and rewarded for their behavior and performance.
