Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Landscape Field/Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team. Be the right hand to our crews - lay out jobs, deliver materials, interact with clients, measure and estimate, and keep the office updated. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support both the administrative functions of our landscape business and assist in the field operations. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. You will be the vital link ensuring smooth office management while also supporting on-site landscape projects, helping us create beautiful outdoor spaces for our clients. This paid position is perfect for someone eager to grow their skills in both administrative and landscape environments.

Responsibilities

Job Duties – Landscaping Field Assistant

  • Job Site Layout: Help lay out landscaping projects according to plans, measurements, and instructions.
  • Material Management: Load, organize, transport, and distribute materials to laborers as needed throughout the job.
  • Measurements: Take accurate measurements of properties, planting areas, beds, hardscape areas, and other project components.
  • Estimating: Assist with estimating material quantities, labor needs, and project requirements.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate professionally with homeowners and clients while working on job sites.
  • Job Site Communication: Keep the owner/foreman informed about job progress, issues, material needs, and changes.
  • Office Communication: Communicate regularly with the office regarding schedules, materials, measurements, project updates, and client requests.
  • Quality Control: Help ensure work is being completed according to company standards and the agreed-upon project scope.
  • Problem Solving: Identify issues in the field and help find practical solutions before they become bigger problems.

Bottom line: This person is essentially the link between the office, the client, and the field crew—someone who can see what needs to be done, communicate it, and help make sure it gets done.
