Reporting to the appropriate site supervisor, the Utility Labour/General Labour will be responsible to ensure the achievement of general and specific project requirements.ย Opportunities for this position are available in Scarborough.

What You'll Do Here:ย ย 

  • Prepare and clean up construction sites.
  • Move materials and equipment and perform demolition, excavation, and compaction activities.
  • Handle and distribute construction materials (e.g. load and unload vehicles with supplies, equipment, and construction materials; move tools, equipment, and construction materials to and from work areas; remove rubble and other debris).
  • Excavate, backfill, and compact subgrade (e.g. move and level earth using shovels and rakes, operate pneumatic tampers).
  • Assemble shoring and barricades at construction sites.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Repetitive movement.
  • Able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Continuously changing work tasks.
  • Ability to work a significant number of hours throughout the day.
  • Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments.
