Job description

Job Title: Airfield Electrical Skilled Laborer
Location: Richmond, VA
Employment

Reports To: Site Foreman
Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Airfield Electrical Skilled Laborer to join our team for ongoing airport infrastructure projects. This position will support the installation, maintenance, and repair of airport lighting systems, including runway and taxiway lighting, signage and navigational aids. While previous airfield experience is a plus, we are looking for candidates with general construction laborer experience who are eager to learn and work in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
โ€ข Assist with the installation and repair of airfield lighting systems, including conduit, cabling, light fixtures, and related components.
โ€ข Perform trenching, excavation, backfilling, and other earthwork tasks.
โ€ข Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
โ€ข Operate basic hand and power tools, as well as small construction equipment under supervision.
โ€ข Follow all safety protocols and regulations, especially those specific to working in an active airfield environment.
โ€ข Maintain clean and organized work areas.
โ€ข Support electricians and other skilled tradespeople as needed on job tasks.
โ€ข Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, based on project schedules and airport access requirements.
Qualifications:
โ€ข 1+ year(s) of general construction or labor experience preferred.
โ€ข Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
