Responsibilities

Prepare specimens and perform testing procedures on pathology specimens that result in the creation of microscopic slide preparations for diagnostic and/or prognostic analysis by the pathologist. Apply technical theory to provide overall operational support necessary to maintain and optimize testing activities. Accommodate scheduling adjustments, off shifts, holidays, on-call, and weekend work assignments. Assist with training of students and employees.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Histotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science, or related, along with HTL Certification through the ASCP Board of Registry and 1 year of clinical experience in a histopathology laboratory OR a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Histotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science, or related, along with HTL Certification through the ASCP Board of Registry and Completion of a NAACLS accredited Histotechnician or Histotechnologist program required.
