Job description


Prepare specimens and perform testing procedures on pathology specimens that result in the creation of microscopic slide preparations for diagnostic and/or prognostic analysis by the pathologist.
Apply technical theory to provide overall operational support necessary to maintain and optimize testing activities. Accommodate scheduling adjustments, off shifts, holidays, on-call, and weekend work assignments. Assist with traning of students and employees.

Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Histotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science, or related and HTL Certification through the ASCP Board of Registry is required along with either completion of a NAACLS accredited Histotechnician or Histotechnologist program OR 1 year of clinical experience in a histopathology laboratory.
