ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.

OB Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour shifts; 4 days per week; all rotating shift schedules.

Job Description

The OB Registered Nurse will provide direct care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum (high, moderate, and low risk) patients in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team in labor and delivery. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment, with a commitment to patient and family-centered care. In addition to the primary position in this unit, employees are oriented and trained across various competencies/modes of care and delivery within the OB service. Floating among units to meet variable needs of volume and acuity is an ongoing expectation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients.
  • Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team in labor and delivery.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Participate in orientation and training across various competencies and needs of the OB service.
  • Float among units to address variable needs based on volume and acuity.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • RN License (New York only)
  • Two years of experience in labor and delivery (OR and triage experience is highly desired).
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association only).
  • Neonatal Resuscitation certification required.
