Job Title: Quality Lab Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our production process. This position offers opportunities for growth and development within the lab environment.
Responsibilities
- Collect and prepare samples from various stages of production.
- Ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage of samples.
- Conduct thorough testing of finished products before release.
- Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure accurate results.
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot any issues.
- Accurately enter and import test data into relevant systems.
- Maintain organized records of test results and related information.
- Generate Certificates of Conformance (CoCs) and Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) based on test results.
- Review and verify the accuracy of these documents.
- Perform testing and release incoming raw materials.
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to ensure material quality.
- Keep the laboratory spaces clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Regularly calibrate and maintain lab instruments.
- Organize and retain required records (both electronic and paper-based).
- Ensure compliance with record-keeping regulations.
- Coordinate activities with other Quality Technicians.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures and techniques.
- Experience in chemistry, biology, and quality control.
- Understanding of GMP, quality assurance, and quality control standards.
- Competency in analysis, wet chemistry, and titration.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Experience with Excel and quality systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in life science preferred.
- 2+ years of GMP quality, QA/QC, or lab experience required if lacking an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
- If a candidate is a scientific new graduate, 2+ years of laboratory experience from education is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Porte, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
