Job Title: Quality Lab Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our production process. This position offers opportunities for growth and development within the lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect and prepare samples from various stages of production.
• Ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage of samples.
• Conduct thorough testing of finished products before release.
• Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure accurate results.
• Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot any issues.
• Accurately enter and import test data into relevant systems.
• Maintain organized records of test results and related information.
• Generate Certificates of Conformance (CoCs) and Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) based on test results.
• Review and verify the accuracy of these documents.
• Perform testing and release incoming raw materials.
• Collaborate with procurement and production teams to ensure material quality.
• Keep the laboratory spaces clean, organized, and well-maintained.
• Regularly calibrate and maintain lab instruments.
• Organize and retain required records (both electronic and paper-based).
• Ensure compliance with record-keeping regulations.
• Coordinate activities with other Quality Technicians.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in laboratory procedures and techniques.
• Experience in chemistry, biology, and quality control.
• Understanding of GMP, quality assurance, and quality control standards.
• Competency in analysis, wet chemistry, and titration.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Experience with Excel and quality systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in life science preferred.
• 2+ years of GMP quality, QA/QC, or lab experience required if lacking an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
• If a candidate is a scientific new graduate, 2+ years of laboratory experience from education is required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Porte, IN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
