Student Employee - HP Lab Assistant
Position Summary:
Student Employees are eligible to work on campus in a part time capacity according to Ensign College Student Employment Policy. In addition to fulfilling this purpose, each employee continuously strives to bring about the mission of Ensign College, which is to develop capable and trusted disciples of Jesus Christ.
Hours: 15-19 hours a week during semester and the starting wage for all student employees is $14.00 per hour with the possibility of $.25 rate increase each semester of continued work based on merit.
Specific Summary of Duties:
Deliver clinical and administrative support to the instructors during class and open lab
Communicate effectively with students, instructors and co-workers
Maintain lab room in accordance with OSHA standards, disinfect lab room at the end of the day
Provide support by restocking inventory, scanning and printing documents
Deliver education to a variety of lab tests under the direction of the instructor
Exemplify MA standards by always being on time for class and dress in clinical attire
Attend lab training and continuing education provided by the program chair
Job Qualification:
Ability to produce effective written correspondence through email and other written communication.
Have the ability to communicate effectively, listen and respond appropriately.
Highly self-motivated, hard worker, creative, and has a great attention to detail.
Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with the supervisor, team members, faculty, and staff.
Ability to solve problems and ask for clarification as needed.
Proficient in Office 365 and Canvas.
Must be familiar with clinical lab for medical clinics
Strong commitment to high-quality undergraduate education.

Be currently enrolled as an Ensign College student taking at least 6 credits (3 per block) and in good academic standing.
Refrain from behavior or expression that seriously and adversely affects the college mission or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Comply with all college policies and procedures.
