Position Title
Student Worker: Microbiology Lab Assistant
Job Duties
The main duty is to clean glassware and assist in the preparation, distribution, and organization of materials for microbiology course BI 250.
1. Keeping glassware cleaned and cleaning up after each lab period in preparation for the next lab period will be the primary duties of the Microbiology lab assistant.
2. Refilling stains, reagents, water, and alcohol will be done at the beginning and middle of the semester.
3. Assisting in preparation of media and subculturing bacteria cultures will be a secondary responsibility.
4. Organizing materials in our inventory and helping in the ordering of replacement materials. Records will be kept on computer programs involving excel and word.
5. Other duties as needed.
