Job Summary
We are seeking a Kiln Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for monitoring and managing the kiln system.
The role primarily takes place in a kiln control office environment, where the operator uses computer systems and control panels to monitor kiln temperatures, firing schedules, and production flow. The job also requires periodic physical inspections of the kiln and production areas to ensure equipment is operating properly and brick quality meets production standards.
This position is part of a fast-paced, highly automated manufacturing environment and offers opportunities for individuals with strong work ethic and reliability. Previous experience is helpful but on-the-job training is available for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage kiln control systems and computer-based production equipment
  • Track the movement of brick through the kiln process, including preheating, burning, and cooling stages
  • Maintain proper temperature levels and firing schedules to ensure product quality
  • Record kiln temperatures and production data regularly
  • Use computer software and control panels to monitor kiln performance
  • Adjust airflow, fuel levels, and temperature settings to maintain consistent production
  • Perform periodic physical inspections of the kiln, equipment, and production line
  • Inspect finished brick for quality and defects
  • Perform routine equipment checks, including cleaning burners and reporting mechanical issues
  • Communicate with production teams to maintain smooth material flow through the kiln process
  • Follow all plant safety procedures and operating standards


  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kiln control office and surrounding work areas
  • Must be willing to work overtime and Saturdays based on production needs
