GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Reno, Nevada.

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2456.96

Opportunity:

RN - Telemetry

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No on-call requirements
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
• May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period
• Schedule varies based upon department needs
• Patient population includes CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMIs, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and care of post-procedure patients including pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and OHS patients downgraded from ICU
• Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro
• May float to intensive care units for telemetry/medically appropriate assignments, medical surgical units, and other departments up to competency level
• Provide comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients including their families and caregivers
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring rhythm strips - failure of exam will result in contract termination
• Nevada RN license required prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

This facility is an extremely busy and fast-paced environment serving a 500-mile radius. It operates as a Level II Trauma Center with stroke accreditation and 800 inpatient beds, with a volume and pace comparable to that of a Level I trauma center. The facility is home to the region's only children's hospital, a leading robotic surgery institute, and comprehensive heart, cancer, and neuroscience services.
