Are you passionate about making a difference during the earliest years of a child's development? Advanced Pediatric Therapies (APT) is seeking a compassionate and motivated Pediatric Audiologist to join our growing multidisciplinary team.

This is a unique opportunity to help build and expand pediatric audiology services within one of Northern Nevada's largest pediatric therapy practices. As part of our Comprehensive Early Intervention Program (Birth to 3), you will play a critical role in identifying hearing concerns early, supporting families through diagnosis and intervention, and collaborating with a highly skilled team dedicated to helping children reach their fullest potential.

In addition to serving infants and toddlers, you'll also have the opportunity to evaluate and treat children and adolescents (ages 3–18) in our outpatient pediatric clinic who have hearing loss, developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, speech and language delays, or other developmental disabilities.

Position Summary

The Pediatric Audiologist will primarily support APT's Early Intervention Program, serving infants and toddlers from birth through 3 years of age who are at risk for or experiencing developmental delays.

Responsibilities include completing comprehensive hearing evaluations, newborn hearing screening follow-up, NICU hearing follow-up, diagnostic testing, and ongoing monitoring of children with hearing concerns or developmental disabilities.

The Audiologist will also provide evaluations and services for children ages 3–18 years in our outpatient pediatric clinic with hearing loss, speech and language delays, autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, learning concerns, or other diagnoses where hearing may impact communication and development.

Primary Responsibilities

Early Intervention (Birth–3)

• Complete comprehensive hearing evaluations for infants and toddlers receiving Early Intervention services.
• Provide diagnostic follow-up for infants who did not pass their newborn hearing screening.
• Perform hearing evaluations for NICU graduates and infants with identified risk factors for hearing loss.
• Monitor hearing development in children with developmental delays, genetic syndromes, neurological disorders, or medical conditions associated with hearing loss.
• Collaborate with Early Intervention providers to support developmental outcomes.
• Educate families on hearing development, language development, and early intervention strategies.

Outpatient Pediatric Clinic (Ages 3–18)

Evaluate and manage hearing concerns for children with:

• Speech and language delays
• Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Developmental delays
• Learning disabilities
• Behavioral concerns
• Hearing loss
• Auditory processing concerns (when appropriate)

Clinical Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive pediatric audiologic evaluations including:

• Behavioral Audiometry
• Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA)
• Conditioned Play Audiometry (CPA)
• Tympanometry
• Otoacoustic Emissions (OAEs)
• Hearing Screenings
• Diagnostic Hearing Evaluations

Additional responsibilities include:

• Interpret audiologic findings and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Counsel families regarding hearing status, treatment recommendations, and available resources.
• Recommend referrals to ENT physicians, cochlear implant centers, genetics, or additional specialists when appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, psychologists, developmental specialists, and educators.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews.
• Maintain timely documentation in accordance with payer and regulatory requirements.
• Provide education to families and staff regarding hearing development and hearing conservation.

Qualifications

Required

• Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from an accredited program
• Current Nevada Audiologist License (or ability to obtain prior to employment)
• Experience working with pediatric populations
• Excellent communication and family-centered care skills

Preferred

• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A)
• Experience in Early Intervention (Birth–3)
• Experience with newborn hearing screening follow-up
• Experience working with NICU graduates
• Experience with children with autism spectrum disorder
• Experience with developmental disabilities
• Experience with hearing aid evaluations and management

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 annually, depending on experience.
