This is a temporary position (approximately 8 weeks) and a great opportunity for a student or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources. Responsible for all front desk traffic to include processing external candidate applications, employee inquiries and visitor badges. Assemble and mail out new hire packages, process new hire paperwork, and create new hire personnel files. Filing of all HR documents on each employee, maintain training records per ISO procedures. Maintain and order office supply inventory. Maintain all records related to Employee uniforms, to include ordering uniforms for new employees. Update and maintain department spreadsheet/reports. Assist with various duties and projects.

EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience as an HR Clerk and or assistant in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Previous experience with Word, Lotus Notes, Excel or related software required.
  • Working experience dealing with company policies, HR legal and regulatory terms and practices such as FMLA, AAP, etc. required.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, including evenings and weekends when necessary.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Frequent: Balance, climb, crouch, depth perception, handle, hear, kneel, manual dexterity, lift 15-20 lbs., reach, speak, stand and stoop. Use personal protective equipment.

Occasional: Crawl, grasp, sit and walk.

Required: Close vision, color and depth perception.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

General office environment.
