Description
Adjuncts are hired on a course basis each term.
Salary Range for Adjuncts teaching in this academic area is $500.00 - $3,750.00 per course.
Governors State University's College of Arts and Sciences, Division of Arts and Letters seeks to create an available pool of local (Chicagoland area) Adjunct Faculty candidates to teach undergraduate, general education courses in Geography.
Essential Responsibilities
We are particularly interested in adjunct faculty to teach courses in the following areas: Non-Western Geography, Physical Geography, World Regional Geography, Human Geography, North American Geography.
Interested individuals are invited to complete a faculty profile, attach a curriculum vita, cover letter, transcripts and list of references for consideration. If available, please also include a sample syllabus from one of your current or most recent undergraduate courses.
At Governors State University, adjunct faculty are hired as temporary faculty with teaching responsibilities for a specific course in a semester or summer session. Adjuncts are not a part of the faculty bargaining unit and are not included in membership of the Faculty Senate.

*Experience teaching undergraduate classes at an accredited college or university.
