Job description

IU Health Medical Group is hiring! We are seeking a patient focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hospitalistteam at Bloomington Hospital!
Position Details:
  • Full-Time
    • Days and Nights
    • Rotating 40 hours per week
    • Shared weekends w/ hours of 7a-7p
  • No call
  • 100% inpatient
  • No procedural requirements
  • Hospitalist team includes 35 physicians and 7 APPs
Key Responsibilities:
  • Admissions/Discharges
  • Coordination of care during rounds
  • Providing patient and family education
  • Initiating a workup for diagnosis and implementing a treatment plan
  • Perform medical consults for subspecialty services
  • Co-manage with multiple subspecialty services
Qualifications:
  • ACNP or PA certifications required
  • Experience preferred but new grads are considered
  • APP should have strong desire to work in the inpatient setting and have multiple years' experience working as a Hospitalist APP
  • If new to workforce, would prefer APP's training include significant time in the inpatient setting.

Healthcare System/Hospital Description
The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center, part of the Indiana University Health Medical Group, opened in December 2021. The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center.
At the same time, the facility strengthens healthcare education by providing space for collaboration and coordination of care and teaching. Students and trainees frequently come to the hospital side of the facility for clinical experiences.
