Job description

Overview:
JARS Cannabis is seeking a hands-on and tech-savvy Help Desk Technician to join our in-house IT team. This full-time, in-person position is based at our corporate office in PHX, AZ and provides frontline technical support to both our retail and corporate teams. If you're a strong communicator with solid troubleshooting skills and an interest in retail technology, this is a great opportunity to grow within a fast-paced, high-growth industry.


Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and resolve help desk tickets via Freshservice, providing technical support to end users.

  • Troubleshoot and support a wide range of hardware and systems including POS terminals, scanners, printers, tablets, and laptops.

  • Manage user access including password resets, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and role-based access control (RBAC).

  • Remotely configure and maintain workstations, inventory stations, and print servers.

  • Address basic network issues including connectivity problems, static IP configuration, and printer setup.

  • Monitor network dashboards (e.g., Unifi) and escalate infrastructure issues when necessary.

  • Follow IT security policies and assist with compliance requirements related to access and data integrity.

  • Document ticket resolutions and contribute to the development of internal knowledge base and SOPs.

  • Work alongside senior IT staff on escalated or complex support issues.


Training Schedule (Temporary):
Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Permanent Schedule:
Wednesday-Friday | 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Saturday-Sunday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM


Qualifications:

  • Foundational knowledge of Windows operating systems, PC hardware, and networking basics.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a service-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to effectively walk end users through problem-solving steps over the phone or chat.

  • Experience using a help desk ticketing platform such as Freshservice preferred.

  • Familiarity with retail technology and point-of-sale systems is a plus.

  • Availability to work evenings and weekends based on the posted schedule.
