Job description

Behavioral Health Solution's (BHS) is a team of mental health treatment professionals who specialize in providing comprehensive behavioral health services for individuals residing in Skilled Nursing Facilities. As a leading provider of behavioral health services, we are seeking skilled professionals of the highest caliber who share our commitment to providing state-of-the-art mental health services to patients in the Portland, OR area.

SUMMARY:

As a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) within our organization, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive mental health services, including assessments, therapy, and crisis intervention, to individuals experiencing mental, emotional, behavioral, and substance abuse issues. This role involves working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for clients.

JOB TYPE:

  • Full-time or Part time W2 options
  • Hourly Compensation of $38.00 to $44.00 per hour (DOE)
  • Weekday and Weekend shifts available
  • Onsite in partner facilities located in Portland metro area

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations of clients' mental health status.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with each client.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions to address mental health issues.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and dialectical behavior therapy.
  • Maintain confidential client records and case notes.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health disorders and coping mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate client care.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and developments in mental health care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emergency services as necessary.
  • Refer clients to other resources or services as needed, such as psychiatric hospitalization or community services.
  • Adhere to all applicable company policies, practices, and procedures to maintain compliance with organizational standards.
  • Stay up to date with any required trainings, certifications, or continuing education requirements relevant to role, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Adhere to mandatory reporting standards, and company compliance requirements including but not limited to actively participate in investigations, audits, and monitoring activities as required.
  • Performing additional tasks, duties, and assignments as specified by your supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Full Independent Licensure as a QMHP with the Mental Health Accreditation and Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO).
  • CPR and First Aide Certification
  • Non-Violent Crisis Prevention (CPI) Certification preferred
  • An individual must be able to perform the essential functions satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Adhere to applicable policies and procedures, including infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Tuberculosis (TB) screening with documented results, completed within the last (12) months.
  • Up to date COVID-19 vaccination or provide an exemption as needed.

SKILLS:

  • Previous experience in mental health or healthcare setting.
  • Strong foundation in psychotherapy and counseling techniques.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
  • Experience with group therapy facilitation.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatment modalities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other training software/tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
