• Provide therapeutic counseling sessions both individually and in group settings, focusing on strategies and techniques tailored to children and families affected by autism and related disorders.
• Deliver crisis intervention and emergency mental health services, which may involve being on-call during nights, weekends, and holidays to support clients in urgent situations.
• Maintain thorough and up-to-date clinical documentation, including clinical notes and monthly statistics, ensuring all records comply with regulatory standards and company policies.
• Facilitate referrals for clients and families to additional community resources or treatment providers, integrating a holistic approach to care.
• Offer training, consultation, and support to other staff members, fostering a collaborative environment that enhances the team's skill set.

Your primary focus will be on children and their parents who are impacted by autism and various neurodevelopmental disorders. This role requires a deep understanding of the unique challenges these families face, emphasizing the significance of tailored therapeutic approaches to foster emotional and behavioral growth.

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling or a related field.
• An active license as a Mental Health Counselor in the State of Washington.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health counseling, ideally working with pediatric populations.

• Proficiency in conducting pediatric mental health assessments and providing brief psychotherapeutic interventions.
• Experience in crisis intervention and case management.
• Strong ability to manage behavioral challenges effectively and compassionately.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills to ensure clear interactions with clients, families, and team members.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a willingness to adapt to new software technologies.
