This is a hybrid role, reporting out of HealthPoint's administrative offices located in Renton, WA. Only applicants who reside in Washington State will be considered.

Position Summary:

The Data Analyst II is responsible for navigating the wealth of data and turning it into actionable and insightful information. They will perform business case analysis, which measures or quantifies the impact and effectiveness of specific programs and performance, and overall HealthPoint performance. The Data Analyst II designs, develops, maintains, and delivers BI solutions through production reports, ad hoc reports/analyses, and data extracts where appropriate, statistical and machine learning methods. They will guide users throughout the organization on choosing and working with the right BI tools and techniques and drive adoption of BI platforms and will work directly with departmental leaders.

Compensation is dependent on skills and experience.

Your contribution to the team includes:

  • Provide expertise in business or clinical analytics domains by leveraging knowledge of business and clinical contexts, data assets, statistical methodologies, machine learning techniques, and prompt engineering to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business and clinical stakeholders to address data, reporting, and analytics needs, identify and resolve gaps in current systems and practices, implement necessary processes, monitor progress and results, and educate on opportunities for improvement.
  • Design, Develop, test, maintain, and document data solutions for dashboards and reports using various BI tools, statistical methodologies, machine learning models, or prompt-based approaches to present information clearly and effectively.
  • Enable end-users to search and utilize analytics content with supporting documentation, while maintaining permission groups.
  • Facilitate data and information governance processes, including empowering data stewards to validate processes, maintaining report & ML model governance, and managing report catalogs, data catalogs, documentation, and metadata.
  • Administer BI tool functionalities, develop and maintain enterprise design standards and templates, including tenant settings, workspace management, and distribution options.
  • Identify, gather, and research specific requirements, collect workflow data and basic system and data specifications for projects, and develop, test, and review enterprise data products.
  • Analyze data and the underlying business processes to ensure data quality and accurate interpretation, thereby developing reliable and credible information for all users and stakeholders.
  • Support the organization's data needs by guiding and educating business users on modern BI practices, tools, and techniques, and driving an organizational transformation towards data literacy and competency.
  • Proactively identify, propose and deliver data products bringing value to the organization by working with customers, analyzing data, and understanding business challenges.
  • Support a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
  • Manage competing demands effectively by being a self-starter, self-motivated, and possessing outstanding business acumen.
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality and work established working hours as a condition of employment.
  • Demonstrate respectful, professional, and appropriate behavior that supports a team-oriented work environment.

  • Attend staff meetings, in-service meetings and participate in agency committees and task force activities as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Must have’s you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or a quantitative discipline such as Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field required. May be substituted with highly relevant experience. Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience with data visualization tools such as Epic Palette, Tableau, or PowerBI.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical and other complex documents. Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written. People-facing presentation skills, and negotiation skills. Make recommendations to management on technical direction.
  • Research new and emerging visualization technologies and techniques. Perform critical analysis of the technology for implementation in the existing environment. Use time management techniques to ensure efficient task completion and identify conflicting priorities to management.
  • Advanced ability to operate computers and related software programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications. Write SQL queries to develop, implement, and utilize databases and reporting tools to extract data.

    • Microsoft Power BI: Data Analysis (PL-300)

Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 is required, prior to start. HealthPoint does not accept the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine as proof of vaccination. If you have received the Johnson & J ohnson vaccine, we ask that you provide documentation demonstrating proof of an alternate COVID vaccine or vaccine series. All new employees are also required to show proof of immunizations and/or immunity to MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella, annual Influenza and TB QuantiFERON Gold Titer. Additionally, if you work in a HealthPoint clinic, Tdap (within last 10 years) is required. Hepatitis B. is required for clinical employees with potential exposure to blood/blood products. All immunizations are a condition of employment. Upon hire, employees must provide proof of their immunizations and/or immune titer results prior to starting or no later than their fifth (5) business day of employment.

  • If you are providing immunizations from an electronic health record, please ensure that you obtain a copy of your full records rather than a screenshot. Each page of your records should include your first and last name, date of birth, and the name of the health system from which the records are pulled.
  • If records do not show any data, please seek guidance from your provider for further assistance.
  • If you are unable to provide proof as noted above, you can choose to have a lab titer drawn to check immunity or to be re-vaccinated. If you receive vaccination(s) or lab titers, you may obtain them through HealthPoint at no cost to you. This is a great opportunity to get your immunization record up to date at no additional expense.
