Job description

Currahee Club is seeking a reliable and skilled Golf Course Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and overall performance of all golf course equipment, with the primary goal of minimizing downtime and ensuring a high quality of cut.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Repair and maintain golf course equipment including reel mowers, rotary mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles.
  • Perform preventive maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, belt inspections, and adjustments.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
  • Sharpen and grind reels, mower blades, and bed knives.
  • Set and maintain proper Height of Cut (HOC) on all mowing equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop work environment.
  • Keep accurate maintenance logs and repair cost records for each piece of equipment.
  • Manage parts inventory and operate within budget guidelines.
  • Ensure all equipment meets required safety standards
  • Properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials including oils, batteries, and tires

Additional Duties:
  • Assist with golf course maintenance tasks as needed, including:
    • Mowing
    • Changing cups
    • Watering
    • Raking bunkers
    • Tree work
    • Other related course duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Experience maintaining gas and diesel engines.
  • Knowledge of golf course or landscaping equipment preferred.
  • Welding skills a plus.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety.
