Position Overview

American Crow Dermatology & Skin Care Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Orthopaedic Surgery team in Orlando, Florida. This full-time role offers the opportunity to provide advanced patient care in a dynamic surgical center environment. This position is based onsite at our advanced surgical center in Orlando, Florida, which is equipped with cutting-edge technology and resources necessary for high-quality orthopaedic care. The work schedule is designed to promote work-life balance, with Monday to Friday shifts and no weekend duties, ensuring that you can focus on providing outstanding patient care without the stress of weekend hours. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced practitioner care to orthopaedic patients under the supervision of a specialty physician, encompassing diagnostic, therapeutic, procedural, and preventative care protocols.
  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including taking medical histories, conducting physical exams, and interpreting radiological images and lab results to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Administer customized patient care methodologies which may include writing prescriptions, ordering necessary therapies, and possibly assisting in surgical procedures.
  • Manage patient care across the orthopaedic experience, encompassing inpatient and outpatient services, consultations, as well as pre- and post-procedural care, effectively following patients throughout their treatment journey.
  • Document all patient interactions and care plans accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system to ensure continuity of care and compliance with medical regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with patients requiring orthopaedic care, which may include a diverse range of conditions such as fractures, joint replacements, sports injuries, and degenerative diseases. Our patient population consists of individuals of all ages, from pediatric cases to geriatric patients. Your ability to provide tailored treatment options and compassionate care will significantly impact their recovery and well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree and graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program, with a Master's degree preferred.
  • Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) and national certification.
  • DEA Certificate within three months of hire.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a PA, with a focus on orthopaedic specialty preferred.
  • Experience with wound care and patient management in urgent referral scenarios.
  • Strong skills in patient assessment, diagnostic processes, and the capability to assist in surgical operations under the supervision of an attending orthopaedic surgeon.
Preferred Experience
  • Recent clinical experience in orthopaedic procedures and care, demonstrating proficiency in handling complex patient cases.
  • Demonstrable experience managing referrals and collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Prior exposure to surgical assistance, showcasing readiness to take on diverse roles within the surgical team.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range between $120,000 to $160,000 per year, complemented by performance-based bonuses.
