Location: Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy
Employment Type: Part-Time, Seasonal (Stipend Position)
Reports To: Athletic Director
Stipend: $5,000
 

Summer Program Dates: Beginning June 16, 2026
Season Dates: August 3 – October 14, 2026

Position Overview

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy (FSHA) is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Head Flag Football Coach to lead and develop the school’s flag football program. The ideal candidate will foster a competitive, inclusive, and mission-aligned environment that supports student-athlete growth, leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of the flag football program, including practices, game preparation, and athlete development.
  • Teach football fundamentals, game strategy, conditioning, and teamwork.
  • Create a positive, disciplined, and supportive team culture.
  • Mentor student-athletes in leadership, accountability, and personal growth.
  • Coordinate team communication, schedules, equipment, and game logistics.
  • Supervise assistant coaches and collaborate with athletic administration.
  • Ensure compliance with CIF, league, school, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain effective communication with athletes, parents, and school staff.
  • Participate in summer training and camp activities beginning June 16, as needed.
 Qualifications
  • Previous coaching experience in football or flag football preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and mentor high school student-athletes.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and empowering environment for young women.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain prior to the season.
  • Completion of required coaching certifications prior to the season.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to actively participate during practices and games.
  • Ability to lift and move athletic equipment.
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, practices, games, and team events.
