Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Midnight Technician

ONE SENTENCE SUMMARY: Seeking a skilled Midnight Technician to maintain and repair machinery, support emergency response, and ensure smooth production operations during the midnight shift.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks on machinery using tools such as lathes, drill presses, metal cutting saws, grinders, and welding equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to guide repair work.
- Obtain and maintain a lift truck license.
- Participate as a member of the plant emergency response team, completing required training including Hazwoper.
- Follow work orders accurately and use maintenance department computer systems.
- Work overtime as scheduled, including twelve-hour shifts and weekends.
- Adhere to physical requirements including lifting, climbing, balancing, and passing safety and physical tests.

QUALIFICATIONS MUST HAVE:
- Journeyman status in maintenance or equivalent experience in machine repair, millwright, or electrical fields.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to use metalworking tools and demonstrate welding skills.
- Willingness and ability to complete required training and certifications including Hazwoper and lift truck licensing.

SCHEDULE:
