Job description

Job Title: Epoxy Flooring & Concrete Injection Technician

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Construction Job Site) TSMC Plant

Schedule: Varies based on project needs; overtime and weekend work may be required
Travel: Limited

Summary: The General Laborer supports construction site operations by assisting with material handling, worksite preparation, and general labor tasks that enable installation crews to complete projects safely and efficiently. This role helps maintain organized and compliant job sites by transporting materials, preparing work areas, supporting firestop installation activities, and performing site cleanup. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable performing physically demanding work in fast-paced construction environments while following company procedures and safety standards.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Surface Preparation: Cleaning, grinding, and shot-blasting concrete to ensure proper epoxy adhesion.
  • Structural Repair: Injecting epoxy resins into cracks and joints to "weld" concrete back together and restore structural integrity.
  • Material Mixing: Meticulously measuring and mixing resin and hardener components to specific ratios.
  • Application: Applying base coats, decorative flakes, and protective topcoats using squeegees, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operating and cleaning specialized tools like planetary grinders, vacuum systems, and injection pumps.

 

Qualifications

  • Prior construction experience preferred; ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions, including summer heat. 
  • Ability to work the required schedule, including built-in overtime and Saturday shifts as needed.
  • 1–2 years of experience in commercial caulking/drywall.

 

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Understanding of epoxy chemistry, curing times, and environmental impacts on application.
  • Ensuring seamless, bubble-free finishes and precise matching decorative elements.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards, handling hazardous chemicals, and wearing proper PPE.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in physically demanding environments.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Verbal communication skills in Mandarin or Spanish.
  • Previous experience working in a construction-related environment.

  • Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, grasp, and operate tools, equipment, or materials.
  • Perform repetitive motions involving the hands, wrists, and arms.
  • Climb ladders, stairs, or elevated surfaces as required by the job.
  • Maintain visual acuity sufficient to read labels, instructions, safety signage, and documentation.
  • Maintain balance and coordination while moving materials or operating equipment.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments requiring frequent movement and manual labor.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to dust, noise, vibration, and moving mechanical equipment.
  • Indoor and/or outdoor work environments, which may include varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Work in confined spaces, elevated areas, or active job sites, depending on project requirements.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and high-visibility vests.
  • Interaction with powered industrial equipment, tools, and vehicles.
