Job description

Position Title: Terrain Park Supervisor

Reports To: Slope Maintenance Manager

Employment Status: Winter, Seasonal

Job Summary:

The Terrain Park Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day oversight of the Terrain Park Day Crew. This position reports directly to the Slope Maintenance Manager and works closely with the Terrain Park Snow Cat Operators to ensure thepark'sneeds are meton a daily basis. They will ensure the day crew works well as a team and helps with other mountain departments as needed.The ideal candidate will have solid leadership skills and be creative and passionate about building a safe and enjoyable terrain park experience for all skill levels of skiers and riders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the terrain park is inspected, maintained, signed, and ready for daily opening in accordance with resort standards, weather conditions, and operational needs.
  • Lead, coach, and support the Terrain Park Day Crew to complete daily maintenance, raking, shaping, feature checks, and guest-facing responsibilities.
  • Communicate daily priorities, park status, feature concerns, staffing needs, and operational updates to the Slope Maintenance Manager, night grooming team, Ski Patrol, Snowmaking, and other mountain departments.
  • Perform and document routine inspections of jumps, rails, boxes, takeoffs, landings, fencing, closures, signage, and other park features throughout the operating day.
  • Identify hazards or changing conditions and take appropriate action, including repairing features, adjusting signage, communicating closures, or escalating concerns to management or Ski Patrol.
  • Assist with feature setup, snow placement, hand work, event preparation, park builds, teardowns, and special projects as directed.
  • Promote a positive guest experience by answering questions, setting a professional example, and helping maintain a safe and enjoyableparkenvironment for all ability levels.
  • Train day crew members on safe work practices, tool use, park maintenance standards, radio communication, PPE expectations, and resort policies.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, fencing, signage, and work areas in an organized and safe condition.
  • Support incident response by following resort procedures, assisting Ski Patrol when appropriate, preserving information, and completing required logs or reports.

Job Qualifications:

  • Prior terrain park maintenance, park crew, snowmaking, or related mountain operations experience preferred.
  • Previous leadership, crew lead, supervisory, coaching, or training experience preferred.
  • Strong skiing or snowboarding ability and a practical understanding of terrain park flow, feature use, and guest ability levels.
  • Knowledge of terrain park maintenance practices, hand tools, snow shaping, signage, fencing, closures, and risk awareness.
  • Ability to communicate clearly by radio, in person, and in written logs or reports.
  • Must be dependable, safety-focused, organized, and able to make sound decisions in changing mountain conditions.

Other Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License and ability to pass insurance driving history inquiry
  • Work is performed outdoors in winter mountain conditions, including cold temperatures, snow, wind, ice, and low visibility.
  • Must be able to ski or snowboard safely while carrying tools or equipment as appropriate.
  • Must be able to shovel, rake, lift, carry, push, pull, and perform repetitive physical work for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, evenings, and variable shifts based on resort operations and weather.
