Job description

Position Summary

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation, repair, and maintenance of various types of fencing systems, including chain link, wood, vinyl, ornamental iron, and gates. This position requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, operate hand and power tools, and work effectively as part of a team to complete projects according to company standards and customer expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install various types of fencing, gates, and related components according to project specifications.
  • Measure, mark, and prepare job sites for fence installation.
  • Dig post holes using hand tools, power augers, or other equipment.
  • Set fence posts in concrete and ensure proper alignment and spacing.
  • Install fence panels, rails, fabric, gates, and hardware.
  • Perform fence repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and customers.
  • Complete assigned tasks within established project schedules.
  • Assist with inventory and material management as needed.
  • Report equipment issues, safety concerns, and job-site hazards to management immediately.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous fence installation or construction experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic measurements and construction plans.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
  • Ability to work outdoors in hot, cold, windy, and wet weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely use personal protective equipment (PPE).

Working Conditions

  • Outdoor construction environment.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Exposure to dust, noise, and construction equipment.
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required to meet project schedules.

Safety Requirements
