JOB DESCRIPTION

The Facilities Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all equipment and spaces within our facility. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of operation and aesthetics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform inspections of interior and exterior areas, addressing maintenance needs promptly
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on various systems, including HVAC, pools, saunas, elevators, and kitchen equipment
  • Execute repair and improvement projects efficiently and effectively
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and visually appealing environment throughout the facility
  • Respond quickly to maintenance requests and communicate repair timelines
  • Manage and update the repair ticketing system
  • Assist in training other departments on basic equipment upkeep
  • Participate in safety procedures, including fire drills and employee safety training
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
  • Collaborate with other departments to complete projects and maintain facility standards

DESIRED SKILLS

  • 2-4 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a hotel or similar high-touch environment
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical work, and carpentry
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and proactively without constant supervision
