Job description

What you'll bring to the teamQualifications & ExperienceLEGOLAND New York Resort Seeks a Keeper of the Wardrobe RealmCostume Lead - Full Time

Across the kingdom of LEGOLAND New York Resort, heroes rise daily. Dragons roam. Adventurers gather. Characters leap from legend into reality.

But none of it happens without the master behind the seams.

We seek a Costume Lead - a legendary craftsperson capable of wielding needle, thread, fabric, and imagination to forge the garments of heroes, villains, and magical beings alike.

This is no ordinary tailoring role.

This is the sacred art of bringing stories to life.

Your Quest

As Guardian of the Wardrobe Realm, you shall:

  • Measure noble Model Citizens to ensure every uniform fits as if enchanted by ancient magic.
  • Repair battle-worn costumes after fierce encounters with dancing pirates, mischievous dragons, and overexcited children.
  • Construct magnificent garments from patterns, sketches, and pure creative power.
  • Maintain the sacred Costume Bible and inventory archives with the precision of a royal archivist.
  • Organize the Wardrobe Fortress so every cape, tunic, and magical accessory rests in its rightful place.
  • Operate mystical garment machinery:
    • Steamers of Fog
    • Irons of Heat
    • Washers of Cleansing
    • Dryers of Eternal Warmth
  • Create enchanted appliques using the mighty Circuit Machine.
  • Leap into live show emergencies as a heroic Costumer when destiny calls.
  • Assist performers before battle (showtime), making swift repairs with the speed of a backstage superhero.
  • Protect the kingdom by following all safety rituals and wearing the proper protective armor (PPE).

And yes... occasionally carry relics weighing up to 35 pounds.

Even heroes lift.

The Powers You Must Possess

The Council seeks candidates skilled in:

  • Sewing, tailoring, stitching, and costume creation
  • Hand stitching and industrial sewing machines
  • Textile knowledge and fabric care
  • Reading and altering patterns like ancient maps
  • Organization worthy of a royal command center
  • Communication magic and collaborative spellcasting
  • Remaining calm in fast-paced realms of chaos
  • Adobe Creative Suite sorcery (a bonus skill tree)
  • Basic mathematical wizardry
  • Independent quest management with minimal supervision

Experience in:

  • Theme parks
  • Theatre
  • Fashion
  • Costume design
  • Live entertainment realms

...shall greatly strengthen your application.

The Hero We Seek

You are:

  • Creative with an eye sharper than an elf archer's aim
  • Dependable enough to guard the wardrobe kingdom itself
  • Friendly, outgoing, and capable of rallying fellow adventurers
  • A fearless team player
  • Ready to work evenings, weekends, holidays, storms, sunshine, and magical chaos alike

You understand:

The show must always go on.

Your Mission Awaits

If you possess the courage to sew under pressure, the creativity to craft legends, and the stamina to survive backstage costume emergencies...

Then the Wardrobe Realm calls your name.

Answer the summons.Join the adventure.Help create magic one stitch at a time.
