Job Summary:

The Detroit Red Wings Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, is seeking enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals to join our seasonal, part-time 50/50 Raffle Event Staff. In this role, you will help operate the Detroit Red Wings 50/50 Raffle during all home games at Little Caesars Arena, creating an engaging fan experience while supporting the Foundation's charitable mission.

Working closely with the Raffle Managers, you will assist with raffle operations, including ticket sales, volunteer support, fan education, equipment setup, and troubleshooting throughout each game. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy interacting with people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are comfortable using technology.

Every ticket sold helps support the Detroit Red Wings Foundation's community initiative while giving fans the opportunity to win 50% of the game's jackpot.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate set up, clean up, and storage of 50/50 Raffle equipment.
  • Assist with supervising and training 50/50 Raffle volunteers including but not limited to, youth hockey teams, parents, and players.
  • Ability to sell raffle tickets to Red Wings fans within Little Caesars Arena in either a stationary kiosk location or as a roaming sales representative.
  • Educate fans effectively on raffle rules and the Foundation's mission and other community impact initiatives.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and in-game management of raffle volunteers, supplies, kiosks, devices and raffle equipment.
  • Provide a welcoming, engaging, and professional experience for guests throughout Little Caesars Arena.
  • Use 50/50 equipment to sell and demonstrate the process of selling raffle tickets to fans while also ensuring fans are educated on the raffle rules.
  • Assist with Detroit Red Wings Foundation fundraising events as needed.
  • Represent the Red Wings and the Detroit Red Wings Foundation in a positive manner.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in customer service, fan engagement, event operations, volunteer coordination, or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work within a close-knit team.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work expertly in a high-stress environment.
  • Comfortable using technology and devices, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • 18 years of age or older by first day of employment.
  • Attend mandatory group training session before the Home Opener.

Working Conditions:

  • Able to remain standing for extended periods of time.
  • Able to walk up and down multiple flights of arena stairs throughout shift.
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs.

Time Commitment:

  • Work 90% of home games September through April, with the possibility of post season games.
  • Able to work non-traditional hours according to the Red Wings home schedule including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Arrival to Little Caesars Arena 4 hours prior to game time (arrival time is subject to change).
