Job Summary:

The Private Event Activation Executive is responsible for the oversight of all event execution elements associated with corporate and social private events held at Little Caesars Arena, the Fox Theatre, Comerica Park and additional venues or off-premise locations as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to review contracted event elements and ensure entire event scope is flawlessly executed.

  • Collaborate with myriad departments and internal stakeholders (Operations, Hospitality, Venue Management, Security, Production, Marketing, etc.) to coordinate all required event execution logistics for corporate and social private events.

  • Manage execution of all contracted event elements inclusive of but not limited to : Audiovisual requirements; food & beverage requirements; staffing needs; experiential add-ons; broadcast needs; equipment rental requirements, etc.

  • Supervise all aspects of event execution from load-in to load-out for 130 or more corporate and social events annually.

  • Create all relevant event-related communication collateral (event agenda, floorplan,

  • run-of-show, etc.) and communicate information to all applicable internal and external

  • stakeholders.

  • Create and distribute event confirmation collateral upon contract finalization.

  • Monitor and approve all event related expenses as they related to the client's contract.

  • Function as sales executive on select accounts as directed by the Director of Private Event Sales.

  • Assist in developing long and short term corporate and social event booking strategies which enable OEI to be competitive with regional corporate event venue competition.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality or related field.

  • Minimum of three years of related experience preferably in a role for a convention center, theatre, arena, stadium or other sporting or entertainment venue.

  • Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects in a high paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, formulate solutions and alternatives; and resolve issues in a timely manner.

  • Ability to work well in a team environment and effectively across business units and venues.

  • Proven level of exceptional guest service.

  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills and business acumen.

  • Demonstrated computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM skills.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience and knowledge of technical aspects of event production including but not limited to sound, lighting, some electrical, video and audio recording.

Working Conditions:

  • Irregular and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Exposure to moderate - high noise level.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Frequent visual/auditory attention.
