Job Summary

Event Staff work with full-time permanent Elite Tournaments staff to execute onsite tournament operations.  Event Staff may fill various roles during a tournament including, but not limited to, site coordinator, field marshal, score keeper, merchandise sales, setup/breakdown, parking management, and other duties.  Event Staff will be the front line of customer service assisting players, coaches, and spectators during the tournament. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site event management during tournaments and events
  • Monitor game activity on the field, report scores, and identify and report medical needs of attendees
  • Assist with field and venue setup and cleanup
  • Provide quality customer service to attendees
  • Interact with the public and provide a safe environment for attendees
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Requirements

  • Knowledge about youth sports, particularly soccer and lacrosse
  • Superior oral and written communications skills and public speaking ability
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective organizational skills for managing multiple tasks

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of GotSport software system
  • Knowledge of Square Point of Sale System or similar
  • Knowledge of rules for various sports, particularly soccer and lacrosse

Additional Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to work weekends and irregular hours as needed
  • Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Employment contingent upon successful completion of a background check
