Job Title: Systems Administrator

Assignment Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $85,000 - $105,000 / annually depending on experience

Work Schedule: M-F, 8-5

Our client is seeking a Systems Administrator to support a large-scale enterprise IT environment. This position will work across servers, identity management, cloud platforms, and core infrastructure.

Job Description:

The Systems Administrator will help maintain reliable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure while supporting day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, upgrades, and technology projects. This role will collaborate with IT teams to resolve technical issues and improve infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux environments.
  • Support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and PKI services.
  • Assist with virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery technologies.
  • Support Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and other cloud platforms.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security.
  • Assist with system upgrades, deployments, patching, and lifecycle management.
  • Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system configurations.
  • Work with internal IT teams and vendors on infrastructure and application initiatives.
  • Use PowerShell or similar scripting tools to automate tasks and improve processes.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and support across the IT organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting Windows Server and/or enterprise Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, or related infrastructure services.
  • Understanding of virtualization, cloud computing, networking, backup, and recovery concepts.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.

Additional Details:

  • 1+ year of experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure, or a related technical role preferred.
  • Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 experience is a plus.
  • PowerShell or other scripting/automation experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, SOX compliance, or IT service management practices is beneficial.
  • Experience in the energy industry is a plus.
