Job description
Good Shepherd Hospice is seeking a Homecare Homebase System Administrator for our Corporate office in Oklahoma City, OK.
This position is responsible for configuration, maintenance, optimization and governance of the Homecare Homebase (HCHB) electronic medical (EMR) platform.
- Homecare Homebase (HCHB) experience strongly required
This role will provide end-user support, and ensure system reliability, regulatory compliance, and alignment with clinical and revenue cycle workflows to support high-quality end-of-life care. The administrator partners with clinical leadership and executive stakeholders to drive operational efficiency, data integrity, and strategic system enhancements that improve patient outcomes, staff productivity, and organizational performance in a highly regulated hospice environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- System Maintenance & Optimization: Administer and optimize the HCHB EMR platform by managing system configuration, upgrades, integrations, workflow support, data integrity, issue resolution, and documentation to ensure secure, reliable and efficient clinical, financial, and operational performance.
- IT Governance, Compliance & Security: Ensure HCHB system compliance with hospice regulatory and data governance requirements by managing security controls, supporting audits and accreditation efforts, enforcing IT governance standards, and mitigating system risks to protect data integrity, privacy, and operational compliance.
- General IT & End-User Support: Provide advanced support and optimization of the HCHB system by resolving complex issues, training users, managing incidents, collaborating with vendors and IT teams, and engaging stakeholders to improve system performance and operational efficiency.
- Strategic Executive Partnership: Partner with executive leadership to align HCHB capabilities with organizational goals by serving as a subject matter expert, analyzing performance metrics, recommending system improvements, translating business and clinical requirements into solutions, and leading strategic system initiatives.
- Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in information systems, health informatics, computer science, healthcare administration, or related field.
- Experience:
- 3-7 years of system administration, EMR or healthcare IT experience required
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) strongly required
- Experience in hospice or home health environments required
- Demonstrated experience supporting revenue cycle, clinical workflows, and EMR optimization
- Certifications Preferred:
- HCHB certification or equivalent EMR certification
- ITIL Foundation or similar IT service management certification
- Relevant platform certifications (e.g. system administration, healthcare IT systems)
- HIPAA or healthcare compliance training
