Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the system servers and monitors the network to ensure optimal performance. Maintains system security in accordance with HIPAA and established policies/procedures, through access groups, user groups, and permission restrictions. Sets up and maintains print services, system files and distributed services. Perform backups and participates in contingency preparation and recovery. Requires a detailed level of understanding of workstation operating system and work station hardware. Maintains communications systems including internet access, email, VoIP, and IP cameras, etc.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Able to work as a member of a team and also independently.
  • Understand and follow safe work practices.
  • Ensure that all Amberwell procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
  • Install and configure hardware and software components
  • Repair or replace damaged hardware
  • Upgrade systems to enable compatible software
  • Install and upgrade antivirus software
  • Travel to client sites
  • Perform tests on new hardware and software
  • Define software, hardware and network requirements
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
