JOB DESCRIPTION
GeoQuest, Inc., a full service environmental consulting and management firm, is currently seeking
Environmental Scientist/Industrial Hygienist to join our growing team in our Shelton, Connecticut office.
Primary responsibilities will include performing various inspections and field work. Under the
mentoring and management of a Project Manager, this professional will be responsible for projects
that support regulatory compliance and construction activities relating to hazardous building
materials (asbestos, lead-based paint, PCBs, etc.), soil, groundwater, radon, and indoor air quality;
and the preparation of reports and other project related documents.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum requirements for this position include an Associate of Science degree (Bachelor of Science
degree preferred) from an accredited college or university in fields of environmental science,
geology, hydrogeology, or other related fields. Three to five years (or more) of experience working in the
environmental consulting/management industry preferred. Strong written and verbal communication
skills are required for this position.
Completion of a 40 hour OSHA HAZWOPER training program and current Connecticut Department
of Public Health Asbestos Project Monitor, Asbestos Inspector/Management Planner, Asbestos
Designer, Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor certifications/licenses would be considered a plus.
