Job description

A multi-discipline architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm is seeking a Senior Forensics Engineer for their growing office in Windsor!



Responsibilities:
  • Conduct residential and commercial forensic investigations to analyze/determine structural damage for insurance companies, attorneys, private homeowners and property owners
  • Investigate and assess damage due to catastrophes
  • Prove evaluations are correct by researching technical publications and literature
  • Apply engineering principles and practices in accordance with codes and industry standards
  • Provide client with detailed forensic engineering reports outlining cause and origin of damage
  • Manage multiple projects and meet project deadlines
  • Provide clients and team with timelines and project updates


Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Engineering or closely related discipline required
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • 6+ years of experience in architectural or engineering
  • 1+ year of forensic engineering experience required
  • E.I.T. required
  • PE License or RA License preferred
  • Experience working with law firms and insurance companies preferred
  • Experience with depositions and expert testimony preferred
  • Prefer management and supervisory experience
  • Experience with premises and walking surface investigations
  • Experience with product defect cases preferred
  • Candidates with experience in accident reconstruction and automotive failure analysis considered


Salary is commensurate with experience.
