Job description

OVERVIEW

Responsible for the operation of one or more palletizing machines and ensures efficient flow of product while maintaining safety and quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Monitor and operate palletizing machinery.
  • Perform routine adjustments and changeovers. Specifically, pallet configuration, pallet centering, and wrap tension.
  • Perform routine troubleshooting of minor operating issues. Ability to safely operate, identify basic mechanical problems, and the maintaining cleanliness of equipment
  • Responsible for always keeping pallets and cardboard available to the palletizer.
  • Understand and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMP's, and HACCP.
  • Inspect finished product, resolve quality issues, and report quality issues to management.
  • Keep work area clean and maintain the assigned portion of the master sanitation schedule.
  • Communicates all pertinent information between management, co-workers, and between shifts on changes to equipment, production problems or any other related information
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
  • Must be able to perform task wearing all PPE (hard hat, steel toed shoes, safety glasses)
  • This position requires the flexibility to work various shifts, days, swing and graveyard, including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and overtime, as needed. Weekend shifts may be mandated based on business needs.

  • 2 years previous equipment operation required

Hourly Range: $24.07 - $36.42
