SUMMARY

Operate embroidery machines to create designated garments and pieces. Load and ready fabric, threads, needles and goods. Follow style, color and design guidelines to create standard products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Upload digitized file into embroidery machine
  • Select correct logo rotation for specific item
  • Input thread color sequence
  • Hoop items in specific hoops for the item ensuring they are hooped straight, hoop sizes range from 3" - 5".
  • Observes and insures embroidery is placed as specified on the product without defects
  • Responsible for quality throughout the job run
  • Make machine adjustments as needed (tension, changing/centering needles, checking bobbins, etc.).
  • Assist in other warehouse operations when needed
  • Must be able to embroider shirts, jackets, sweaters and caps or any other type of garment.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to work with Tajima and SWF embroidery machine brands
  • Ability to work with 1 through 12 heads embroidery machines.
  • Knowledge of working with different types of needles depending on the fabric being embroidered.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to bend and lift boxes of items to be embroidered (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Speed and accuracy to meet production quotas.
  • Ability to comprehend written instructions and communicate with Finishers and department leads.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires the normal demands of any job, such as sitting, standing, reaching with arms and hands, walking, talking and hearing. Standing for up to 4 hours at a time. Lifting up to 50 pounds at times.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have at least 1-2 years of experience operating industrial embroidery machines.
