Position Overview
Advantage Elevator is seeking an experienced Residential Elevator Installer/Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for a motivated professional with 4+ years of elevator installation experience who takes pride in producing high-quality work and providing exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate must possess a valid California Limited or General Certified Competent Conveyance Mechanic (CCCM) License and be capable of independently installing residential elevator systems while maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship.
Responsibilities
  • Install residential elevator systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and California code requirements.
  • Read and interpret installation drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Install rails, drive systems, doors, gates, electrical components, and finish materials.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting during installation.
  • Ensure all work meets company quality standards and applicable safety regulations.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites in occupied homes.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, inspectors, and office staff.
  • Complete installation documentation, checklists, and job reports.
  • Assist with startup, testing, and final adjustments prior to turnover.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of residential or commercial elevator installation experience.
  • Valid California Limited or General CCCM License (Required).
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and installation manuals.
  • Experience installing Savaria, Garaventa, Stiltz, or similar residential elevator products is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift and carry up to 125 lbs.
  • Climb ladders and work at heights.
  • Frequently bend, kneel, squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces.
  • Safely use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
