Job Summary
Provide management and direction for the Engineering functions. designing and developing systems for manufacturing operations.
Understand and analyze customer requirements for product design, modification, or appropriate application. Required travel could involve overnight stays, weekend assignments and international opportunities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
• Analyze plant processes, design and implement improvements.
• Troubleshooting issues with hardware and processes.
• Plan preventative maintenance.
• Work with others to detect problems and implement solutions.
• Maintain quality and safety standards are upheld.
• Performing and documenting control system testing
• Reviewing reports and test results
• Designing and developing components
• Ensuring all equipment is properly maintained
• Maintaining quality and safety standards
• Troubleshooting issues with controls systems
• Performing and maintaining an inventory of all control systems
• Creating equipment and systems that help a machine run smoothly.
• Repairing any malfunctions found within the machines.
• Collaborating with design engineers to build better functioning machines and systems.
• Using listening skills to apply updates according to customers' needs.
• Following safety regulations to ensure customers are safe when using the products.
• Troubleshooting to find and solve issues for a specific system.
• Compares, analyzes, and determines if existing products can meet customers' needs
• Makes suggestions and recommendations to customers for product modifications and improvements
• Consults with direct supervision or internal customers for product modifications
• May prepare proposals, quotations, and apply appropriate pricing
• Operates computer aided design (AutoCAD) system and responsible for new design as well as design changes
• Conducts analysis of operating conditions and specifications proposed by customers
• Determines appropriate product selection and/or application
• Creates proposals, quotations, and applies appropriate pricing
• Coordinates and conducts appropriate training seminars and demonstrations to meet customer needs
• Maintains current knowledge of company's products and equipment capabilities
• Possesses knowledge of engineering disciplines and industry standards affecting quality
• Provides technical support for internal and on-site customers
• Completes assigned departmental projects
