Job description

City : Emporia State : Kansas (US-KS) Country : United States (US) Requisition Number : 46237 A Day in the Life: Bunge in Emporia, KS is looking for an Electrician for our soybean processing facility. This position is responsible for electrical maintenance and repair of production equipment in a multi-purpose soybean processing facility. Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment. Position Details: Monday - Friday, 7a-4p, with an hour unpaid lunch break. Must be willing/able to work after hours and weekend as needed. Starting pay rate: $36.97 an hour What You'll Be Doing: Maintain plant wide electrical troubleshooting and repair maintaining all automation throughout the facility (electric circuits of 480VAC or less) Troubleshoot and repair high voltage lighting, variable frequency drive (VFD) and alternating current / direct current (AC/DC) systems Perform general electrician tasks including but not limited to running conduit and sizing and pulling wire Utilize the integrator to assign IP addresses to new equipment and to work with ladder logic Troubleshoot and repair Programmable Logix Control (PLC) (Allen-Bradley) systems like, Logix Controls Troubleshoot and repair AC motor starter circuits Check output on DC controllers and replace printed circuit boards when needed Troubleshoot, locate, test, identify, or diagnose electrical malfunction and then adjust, repair, or replace Calibrate and/or troubleshoot process instrumentation Inspect for conformity to industry standards or specifications Rebuild, repair and replace damaged, defective, or worn parts Maintain a clean and orderly work area and remove material and equipment from job site Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience or schooling in troubleshooting and repairing PLCs and electrical equipment High school diploma or GED Experience with mass flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, burner control systems, and other like equipment found in an automated plant Ability to work in a safety conscious environment Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English Ability to read and understand ladder logic Ability to determine needs for installing new equipment Ability to follow, interpret, and read blueprints or schematics Benefits: Health Benefits - Offering choices so you can enroll in medical, dental and vision plans that meet your individual needs. 401(k) Retirement Plan - Investing in your future with an automatic 5% company contribution AND matching up to 4% of your contributions.
