Dispatcher - Up to $26/HR

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dispatcher to join a busy Truckload Operations team. In this role, you will manage an assigned fleet of drivers, tractors, and trailers, ensuring freight moves safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This fast-paced position requires strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Manage an assigned fleet of drivers, tractors, and trailers.
    • Dispatch loads and ensure pickup and delivery commitments are met.
    • Monitor driver activity, ETAs, appointments, service alerts, and Hours of Service compliance.
    • Coordinate cross-border shipments and required documentation.
    • Communicate regularly with drivers regarding schedules, routes, appointments, and operational updates.
    • Respond to delays, equipment issues, weather, traffic, and other service disruptions.
    • Collaborate with Operations, Customer Service, Maintenance, Safety, and other departments.
    • Support driver performance through scheduling, coaching, documentation, and utilization management.
    • Maintain accurate dispatch records and operational documentation.
    • Identify opportunities to improve fleet utilization, efficiency, and customer service.
    • Assist the Dispatch Manager with reports and special projects as required.
  • Qualifications
    • 2+ years of dispatch, transportation, logistics, or fleet operations experience preferred.
    • Trucking or freight transportation experience strongly preferred.
    • Cross-border dispatch experience is an asset.
    • Strong knowledge of transportation and logistics operations.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation management systems.
    • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Schedule
    • Night shift position (8-hour shifts).
    • Must be flexible with scheduling.
    • Coverage may include days, afternoons, nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as operationally required.
