Shift - Saturday & Sunday, 6:30am - 4:30pm 

Position Description Summary:
Responsible for the efficient and effective coordination of the delivery through a dedicated fleet for freight destined to Ontario markets.  Coordinate pick up and arrival, of freight on a time sensitive basis to meet customer commitments and specifications.  Effectively manage driver compliment in concert with Transport company contacts.  Additionally, the Dispatch Coordinator must also be committed to exceeding client expectations while respecting company policies.

Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.  It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations):

  • Coordination of inbound shipments through WMS
  • Processing of all inbound and outbound paperwork
  • Tracking of all inbound and outbound shipments through Microsoft Excel and WMS
  • Inbound appointment booking for carriers via Microsoft Outlook and WMS
  • Coordinate the movement of trailers through third party shunt software
  • Coordinate the put away of received pallet in WMS
  • Coordinate with inventory / QA team on US import inspection inbound shipments to ensure all documentation is compliant
  • Work in accordance with all company Health and Safety Policies

Knowledge and Skills (The following minimum requirements are normal guidelines and should not constrain the advancement of otherwise qualified personnel):

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills and familiarity with driver duty hours.
  • Must enjoy fast paced environment
  • Team Player
  • Familiarity with public warehousing and 3PL operations
  • Highly organized
