Job Description
Job Title: Golf Course Club House Staff
Department: Golf Course
Reports To: Golf Course Club House Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
SUMMARY
This part-time position works 15-20 hours per week during the busy season (approx. April – Oct) and 10 or less hours per week in the off season (approx. Nov – Mar). Assists in the Clubhouse of the Golf Course by performing the following duties. Must be available to work on the weekends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Answers all inbound telephone calls and provides required information or responses.
  • Delivers oral or written messages.
  • Operation of the cash register and credit card payment process.
  • Closing and balancing of daily cash and deposits – includes taking the deposit to the bank night deposit.
  • Responsible for sale of snacks and beverages including alcoholic beverages.
  • Opens or Closes facility depending on shift worked.
  • Ensures all golf carts are stowed properly at the end of the day.
  • Cooking to keep hot food readily available during designated times
  • Stocking and restocking the clubhouse food and beverage as needed
  • Rinsing and refueling the golf carts that have been used and ready to be circulated back out
  • Follows all City safety policies and procedures.
  • Performs additional duties as needed or required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 18 years of age.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three month’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively and interact appropriately with customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Requires valid driver’s license and must meet the City’s driving history guidelines.
PHYICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to kneel, stoop or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Ability to work in varied weather conditions
Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays and weekends as business dictates.
