Job description

Join our team as a Materials Coordinator and help keep operations moving. In this hands-on role, you’ll support the daily flow of materials through the shipping and receiving office, helping ensure products, paperwork, and priorities stay on track. This full-time hourly position follows a 12-hour day shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM on a 2-2-3 schedule—offering consistency, variety, and the opportunity to make an impact every shift.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Respond to e-mails and phone calls in a timely manner, and assist drivers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Monitor shipments and deliveries to coordinate them to meet load-ready time (LRTC) for the production line.
  • Keep all departments notified of product or trailer shortages to ensure we meet timelines.
  • Perform general office duties to include proper filing, completing required daily reports, and data analysis.
  • Provide excellent service at the shipping window to process, prepare, and deliver the bill of lading.
  • Keep leadership aware of any concerns within the operation you may come across.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:  

  • Will need to work weekends, holidays, and overtime according to work schedule.
  • Reliable transportation to report to the scheduled shift.
  • Strong customer service, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills to ensure accurate counts and paperwork.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, and accept additional assignments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow instructions and follow through on assigned tasks and responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems (such as SAP).

 PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Experience working in an office setting supporting operations.

 PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time and look at a computer monitor for most of the shift.
  • Ability to repetitively twist or turn; stand, climb, kneel, stoop, and squat, as needed.
  • Must be willing and able to safely lift, slide, push, or pull product weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms that are provided by the company.
