Company DescriptionOverview

The Principal Data Analyst is responsible for the oversight, quality, and delivery of multiple statistical and analytic workstreams through principallevel individual contribution, technical leadership, and strategic execution. The role leads endtoend modeling and research efforts by serving as a technical authority, strategic problem solver, and crossdepartment partner, while supporting peer development through knowledge sharing, guidance, collaborative review of analytic work, and intentional collaboration on complex initiatives to promote shared learning, with a focus on complex, highimpact initiatives.

This work spans revenuegenerating initiatives, client requests, research and development, and support of Epsilon Data modeling platforms and products. The Principal Data Analyst drives statistical process improvements, tool development, product innovation, and quality assurance to ensure sound methods are consistently applied while advancing business objectives and longterm analytic capabilities. The role often includes assigned clients, with accountability for the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of statistical deliverables.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of statistically sound models and analytic solutions addressing evolving business needs, including productionized and nonproductionized model builds, rescores, complex analytic engagements, and analytic product development.
  • Provide endtoend ownership and direct contribution across multiple concurrent analytic workstreams, including defining analytic objectives, outlining key deliverables, and planning execution to ensure alignment with business goals, while ensuring project visibility, proactive risk management, and highquality, ontime delivery.
  • Establish and maintain delivery standards, QA practices, and documented workflows to ensure consistency, scalability, auditability, and alignment with business and client expectations.
  • Provide crossdepartment analytic leadership and subjectmatter expertise to internal and external partners, including Client Services, Sales, Data Strategy, Product, Production, Modeling/Stats, and clientfacing partners, through advanced consultation, issue resolution, and decisionenabling recommendations, representing an aligned analytic point of view, building consensus, and documenting agreedupon approaches and decisions.
  • Translate complex analytic findings into clear, actionable insights, including the effective use of data visualization and analytic platforms to communicate key messages to internal and external partners by evaluating alternative methodologies and tradeoffs, applying sound decision frameworks to balance scope, cost, performance, and delivery timelines while informing system and process improvements.
  • Drive strategic analytic initiatives by identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement, tool development, and product innovation that improve efficiency, scalability, and business impact.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy, data governance, and AI guidelines, including the responsible use of AIenabled tools and promptbased workflows to improve analytic efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors in statistical, quantitative, or related field. Advanced degree preferred; with a minimum of seven years of experience in advanced analytics and statistical model development using large transactional datasets.
  • Proven experience leading endtoend development of complex analytic solutions, from problem framing through implementation and optimization, with the ability to translate results into businessrelevant insights and recommendations.
  • Strong expertise in statistical modeling, machinelearning methods, and model evaluation, with the ability to independently design, execute, and challenge analytic approaches.
  • Proficiency in analytic programming and tools, including Python and SQL, with the ability to independently execute complex analyses, review and challenge analytic work across workstreams, and provide technical guidance to elevate analytic quality; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for analysis, visualization, and executivelevel communication.
  • Experience using LLM and AIenabled tools, including effective prompt engineering, to accelerate analysis, improve analytic quality, and support scalable, repeatable analytic workflows, while adhering to governance and responsibleuse guidelines.
  • Strong process and methodology orientation, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, prioritize competing demands, and make sound tradeoffs across scope, cost, performance, and timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to raise risks, challenge assumptions, and make wellreasoned decisions with incomplete information, operating effectively in ambiguous or high pressure environments by applying sound judgment, active listening, and constructive problem solving to maintain trust and forward progress.
  • Proficiency with the TSP Core Asset and Market Trend Model building processes and products.
  • Awareness of industry and analytics trends, governance requirements, and evolving procedures, with the ability to research, apply, and share insights to inform analytic approaches and business decisions, including occasional engagement with internal and external partners, which may involve travel as needed.

 Compensation Range: USD $127,900.00 - USD $237,500.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
