Is cybersecurity a dying field?

To thrive as a Weekend Cyber Security professional, you need a solid understanding of network security, threat identification, and incident response, typically backed by experience in IT security and credentials such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH. Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) tools, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and antivirus platforms is crucial for monitoring and reacting to threats. Working weekends can also mean having more autonomy and the opportunity to handle a broader range of security events, enhancing your experience and visibility within the organization.
