Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care to patients with various wound-related conditions. This role involves assessing, planning, and delivering care that promotes optimal patient healing and well-being.

Shift Details
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 0730 - 1600
  • One Saturday shift per month required
  • Every third weekend required
  • Every other holiday as needed
Qualifications
  • Required Certifications: BLS, WCC
  • Preferred Certifications: ACLS, WOCN
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
  • Hospital experience required
  • Travel experience required
  • Cerner EMR proficiency required
Skills and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and responsibilities:

  • Expertise in handling HAPI and Stage I-IV pressure ulcers
  • Conducting comprehensive wound and ulcer assessments
  • Managing acute and chronic pressure injuries
  • Handling common and rare dermatologic conditions, including necrotizing fasciitis
  • Executing new ostomy placements and related care
  • Using specialized equipment such as wound vacs and novel therapies
  • Utilizing camera photography for wound documentation
Patient Care Focus

The Wound Care RN will work with patients experiencing a variety of diagnoses, including:

  • Routine pressure injuries
  • New and chronic wound conditions
  • Dermatologic conditions
