Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Level 1 Trauma Center OR RN with at least 3 years of OR nursing experience for a night shift assignment requiring an active IL RN license.
Job Details
• Acute care setting within a Level 1 Trauma Center's Operating Room department,
• 15 operating suites with an average of 25-45 cases per day,
• Case specialties include general, GYN, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, ortho, spine, EENT, and cardiothoracic,
• Uses Epic EMR,
• Night shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 2245-0715,
• No floating required,
• Call requirements approximately once per week and every 3rd to 4th weekend,
• Charge RN available 24/7 on every shift and does not take a patient assignment,
• Supported by surgical techs (1-2 per patient) and CNAs (3-4 during days, reducing to 1 by 7pm),
Job Requirements
• Active IL RN license required,
• BLS certification (AHA) required,
• Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required,
• BSN not required,
• Scrubbing required,
• Must produce a negative drug screen for all panels,
Additional Information
• Scrubs are provided by the facility,
• Casual professional dress required to enter/leave the facility,
• Unit/department specific orientation is 1 week,
• Local rate available for clinicians with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility,
• No radius rule restricting eligibility,
• COVID vaccine not required for this facility,
• Cancellation policy allows the equivalent of 12 hours per 13-week assignment with no penalty
