Correctional Nurse Practitioner (NP) Ohio Location: St. Clairsville, OH, 43950 Job Type: Contract Duration: Approx. 3 Months (possible extension) Schedule: Full-Time Weekdays Only Shift Options: • 5x8-hour shifts OR • 4x10-hour shifts (Flexible start/end times based on facility operations) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) licensed in Ohio to provide onsite primary care services within a correctional healthcare setting. This role involves delivering comprehensive care to an adult patient population in a structured clinical environment. Responsibilities • Manage chronic and acute medical conditions following established clinical protocols • Perform routine physical examinations and patient assessments • Diagnose and treat illnesses within NP scope of practice • Order, review, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests • Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments as appropriate • Provide emergency and routine patient care • Evaluate and coordinate specialty referrals • Conduct infirmary rounds as needed • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation • Collaborate with medical leadership and interdisciplinary healthcare teams • Participate in quality improvement and patient care initiatives Qualifications • Master s Degree in Nursing • Active Ohio Nurse Practitioner license • Board Certification as FNP or AGNP • Minimum 1 year of NP experience in: o Primary Care OR o Hospital Medicine • Current Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR Certification • DEA Certification preferred/required based on assignment Required Submission Documents • Updated Resume • Cover Letter • CPR/BLS Certification • Ohio NP License • Additional credentialing documentation may be required upon selection
